I'll try to get something up over the weekend, but I'm not making any promises!
POOOOOOOOST-SCRIPT: Trying to hurry up and post this before the power flashes again. I wrote a short thingy in my reaL Nlog about thunderstorms. Coincidentally (actually, not at all), that just so happens to be what is causing my power to be sketchy.
Enjoy!
9/8/14 - School came fast and it came hard. I'll get that story I promised up by the end of the week (hopefully!), and then I'll try to work on this website as often as I can.
Sorry about that.
9/1/14 - School is only two days away, and I want to squeeze as much enjoyment out of it as possible (while also avoiding procrastination). SO. I wrote a short story called The Pond which is actually pretty similar to my last publication, mood wise. I also have another similar type of story that I will be posting tomorrow. I guess it's sort of the "school's coming bring out your black gowns and ring the funeral bells" feeling lately.
I'm going to aim to bombard you all with some stuff tomorrow while simultaneously finishing up my summer assignment while also simultaneously getting me Eagle.
Fun.
8/26/14 - I just wrote a PoL Blog post called Luke Answers Your "Questions"! So, go check it out.
8/23/14 - It's just a short story for you to enjoy, nothing too much. It's called Still Not Here, though the URL might give you some insight to what it's about. I would be writing a few more things, but I'm caught up reading Crime and Punishment (so I can not get kicked out of AP English). But I'll get around to it next week, before school starts the week after!
8/22/14 - Well shoot, I only have one more day to write something. So, well, uh... I'll get to that.
8/12/14 - Hey peeps, sorry about the lack of posting lately. I've been pushing hard to finish up the paperwork and the likes for my Eagle Scout award, among other things like school summer assignments and getting my driver's license. Also, I've been hanging out with friends who I either haven't really seen a lot this summer or are leaving and we're trying to squeeze in some last few memories before they're gone.
I solemnly swear that I will stop procrastinating writing for my website and that I will be publishing some stuff this week or next week.
And that's a promise that I probably won't break.
8/7/14 - I finally finished my quote book today! In case you weren't aware, over the past year, I've been collecting quotes from all sorts of sources, from friends to teachers to random kids in the hallways to TV and so on and so forth what have you. In case you interested in seeing it for yourself, you can find it here, on my Tumblr. OR you can find it on my personal Facebook page, not on my website's Facebook page. You should just check the Tumblr page, it's easiest.
I'll get back onto posting some things later this week or next week. I'm feeling a lot better, in case you were wondering.
8/5/14 - Sorry, I just haven't been feeling up to writing anything lately. Hopefully it'll pass!
7/28/14 - I've been working on something to post, and I'll try to get to it up in between the other million-and-a-half other things I promised I'd do this week. So I'll see what I can do!
P.S. I did some minor edits to design and cleaned up around. Italicized titles no longer mean posted exclusively on this website, not it means not posted exclusively on this website (check under the whole shebang on the Scribbles page).
7/23/14 - I was going to write something today, but then I got politically charged by some random post some person made that made me angry, and now I'm not in the mood to write what I was going to write. However, I have a feeling I'll be returning tonight to write the first draft. I might publish it tomorrow, who knows?
7/22/14 - Thanks for tuning in to Ponderings of Luke on your local internet provider! We're pleased to bring to you two new hit singles from Luke. These are in the "review" genre, and are sure to become popular enough to get played at every dance there is.
*end sexy radio-guy voice*
So, two new reviews. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs II (as suggested by Ms. Kari) and the Divergent Series (because I just finished it and thought it'd be a good excuse to write something).
Enjoy! They are the first of many great and important things!
7/16/14 - I'm sorry loyal followers, but I'm going camping tomorrow for the rest of the week and weekend, so probably no posts. Also, though I have some great ideas, I'm going to probably not be posting much for the rest of this month. Personal reasons, no need to worry, but I'll get back into the game soon enough. Probably.
7/12/14 - New poem with no name, actually. So, uh, yeah. That's a little awkward.
7/10/14 - Hello again! Instead of posting a whole bunch all at once, I'm going to spread it out over a few days. So, enjoy this little poem called "The Cabin in the Hills."
7/3/14 - In order to make up for my long hiatus, I finished my reaL Nlog post and I've posted a poem. I hope you enjoy!
Oh, and also a new PoL Blog post about future updates and things of that sort. I also changed some fonts and things around. I like it (mostly). I'll be doing some maintenance soon enough and get this website back into full-functioning condition.
Peace.
7/2/14 - Happy UFO day! On that note, I'd like to announce that I have several great ideas for stories and I'll be finishing up A Strange Occurrence pretty darn soon. I'll also get the reaL Nlog post posted soon enough. Some things have come up that I need to do, but I'll stop procrastinating eventually.
So, check back later today and I think I'll have it done!
I'd make you a promise, but we both know how that'd work out, right? Ha. Ha. Ha. Okay, I'll stop now.
LATER THAT DAY: So I didn't have access to the computer for most of the day or else I would have wrote it, I promise! I did write a poem but I'm too lazy to add it right now seeing how it's late at night. So, tomorrow, probably.
6/30/14 - So I fixed a lot of the links like I meant to do about a month ago. Some of the poems and stories and essays I had written didn't have a link to them on the Stories, Poems, and Essays pages, respectively. That's fixed now.
I was going to write a reaL Nlog post, but I suddenly became overwhelmed with the fact that I'm sitting on a computer and do doing something amazing. Never mind the fact I can barely walk right now or that I've already done some things. I would have explained that last sentence in the reaL Nlog, but I can't write it right now.
Maybe later today I'll be feeling better and can write it. We'll see.
6/23/14 - Eh-hem. Uh, yes. I have an idea for a short story that will be quite long probably, also ready to write a review, but I'm going to be extremely busy for a couple of days with hiking and musicals and job hunting and a driver's license and all that jazz. I'll probably write a reaL Nlog post about it.
Just thought you'd like a brief update. I'll get around to publishing things very soon, I promise.
6/20/14 - So I was going to write something, but then I watched the entire seventh season of Doctor Who instead. So, sorry about that, but I'm not really sorry.
And to the person who suggested a review of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs II, I say good idea! I'll get one that eventually. Now to just watch it a few dozen more times...
6/18/14 - I decided a few days ago to advertise this website on my Facebook and to see how it went, you know, some shameless self-advertising. The views on this website jumped from (according to Weebly's count, which is over the top) 39 to 206. Google Analytics (which is a little bit under) reported a change from 2 to 16. Across the board, about 700% increase in viewers.
Basically, I got an unanticipated increase in viewers. What I didn't realize at the time is that now more people are expecting me to make content. Oops! Now it looks like I'll actually have to update the website semi-regularly!
I'm facing a slight conundrum, though. See, I've been writing a lot of poetry, but I wrote it with the intention of publishing in a book-form under the title A Collection of Uncivil Poems. It's probably an unrealistic hope to have, but it's what I'm aiming for.
Anyways, I do have a few spare poems here and there that I can share, I guess. I'm also trying to have ideas for short stories and stuff, but it'll take a bit before I'm used to writing a lot again. I'll probably be writing a lot of essays rather than fiction for a while. I'll finish those things that I should be finishing sometime soon (hopefully), but don't get your hopes up.
Ha, I kinda lied. I have a fictional tale to tell sometime or other. It'll be long but extremely enjoyable, I hope. I'll have fun writing it, at least. Nothing today because reasons, buuuut, maybe tomorrow? Maybe the day after? Eh. Eventually.
6/16/14 - So, a wonderful person (the same person who wrote Chains (the same person who won the BANANA BONANZA (the same person who is secretly a nun (the same person who owes me a chocolate bar (the same person who is a major contributor and visitor of this website (the same person who is pretty dang amazing!))))))) sent me a whooole lot of dates for my project (see more about it on my PoL Blog), and she saved me a whole lot of time, so thank you!
As a consequence of that, I've looked over a lot of my old works, making slight edits here and there. I had to read over my Doctor Who Fanfiction that I wrote and made a lot of corrections. I still love it, it still has a lot of feels, and you can still read it. So, you should enjoy that. And not get overwhelmed with feels.
I'll be getting more up later this week. I'm playing in the pit orchestra for a local play and rehearsals are all this week (with performances at the end of the week), I'm hiking the Middle Teton next week, as well as going on another terrible 50-20, and then I have a lot of stuff that need to be done both here and elsewhere. I'll get some interesting stuff up this week (hopefully!). So, uh, that's all folks.
6/14/13 -
(to the minion editors: I'll be getting back to you very soon I promise!)
6/10/14 - Duuuue to popular request, I've installed a new entry for An Unwelcome Guest. I hope you enjoy it.... Muhahahahaha!
In other news, I'm doing terrific today. Saturday was a really low day for me (like, abyssal trench low), but I'm good now.
The thing about taking a hiatus is that things start to slip out of your brain, like the plans you have for a story, or the inspiration for something, important things such as whether or not you have an extra pair of socks for Thursday. It's going to take me a while to clean up this website and get it ready for new works, so bear with me and before you know it, I'll have some new goodies for you. I promise!
6/7/14 - Sometimes you have those days when you just wish someone would ask how you're doing and you could tell them just how terrible it's been, and sometimes you have those days when no one does and you suffer through it alone.
I would have written something today -- in fact, I started something today, but was unable to finish it because reasons.
I'll try to get something done soon. I don't know when, though, but I have some big projects lined up for this summer and I can hardly wait.
Later.
6/3/14 - Sorry for not posting anything, but I'll do that now. After, of course, I tell you guys how much I love you all. It really makes my day to come onto my website and see that so many people have visited it. Thank you all so much.
Enough of that. I wrote a poem called Red Thread and an essay named Acceptance. I hope you enjoy them, and I'll be getting to some more stuff after this week is over.
