Avoidance "SSA" Sprint Thoughts on North Brother Island Poexistential Wolf reaL Nlog - Regaling My First Winter Moonlit Hills |
Recent Announcements2/27/24 - Avoidance
Surprised to see me? I actually meant to update back on the 6th, which was the 12th (TWELFTH!) anniversary of this website. I have been writing over these past 5 years, I promise, just not posting it here. I actually did get a poem published in Skyisland Journal back in spring of 2019, in Issue 8 (link). I've been busy; I graduated college and moved states and got married. I like having an online archive of things I've written, so I'm planning on continuing to update this website here and there. Stay tuned? 1/9/19 - "SSA" 12/24/18 - Sprint 7/19/18 - I have not been able to write anything since the summer started. I don't know why, but I just haven't been able to write anything. I think I tried once or twice, but I just was not satisfied with anything. I've edited a little, but not much. Anyway, I just thought I might post something about the lack of posting lately. Carry on. 6/21/18 - My most popular page this year (so far) is Iambic Monometer, which is also one of the top results if you search "iambic monometer" on Google. That's nice and all, but I wish my most popular page was something a little more recent. I suppose that's my fault, though, for not updating frequently enough to build an audience. Whoops. I have been working more on getting my works published in literary journals, but I'll see if I can't find something to publish here. I haven't written much creatively lately, but I'll see what I can do. 5/1/18 - Some of my photographs have been published in a literary journal! It was for USU's creative writing contest. One of my photographs even won 2nd place! You can check it all out here. You can find me on Pages 15, 24, 49, 119, and 125, though I highly encourage you to check out some of the other winners. The first piece in the issue, "Value," is exceptionally good. 12/6/17 - Thoughts on North Brother Island 8/3/17 - I have an essay for you! I have been holding off on publishing it here in hopes I could get it published elsewhere, but alas, my plans have failed. Also, I kinda forgot about it for a little bit, so it's much later getting here than it should have been. "Poexistential" marks my first check mark on my list of goals, the first total completion. Enjoy! As a side note, I hope to complete my short story (a creative nonfiction short story) that I've been working on since the beginning of summer fairly soon. Additionally, I've been debating over posting a poem I've been working on for a few weeks. There should be more updates in the near future. 7/20/17 - Who even checks this site regularly anymore, right? I got a new poem, though. I was at an event put on by the Logan City Poet Laureate where she gave some prompts to try to get the community to write something. It worked, so here's a poem called "Wolf." I'm working on that short story and another poem that I might put here. I'm not sure yet. I'm also working hard on a D&D adventure that I'm planning on posting here sometime. Catch you later! 7/3/17 - Here's a blog post I guess. I'm a little caught up in some other things right now, but I'll have some time later this week after the freedom festivities to write something and explain my absence. Toodles! 5/30/17 - I've posted a new reaL Nlog thingy about a game. You can find out more by clicking on the link under "Recently Added." Additionally, I've added a little "Summer Goals" thing right up above so we can keep track of what I've done so far of what I said I'd do. I'll replace the bullet points with check marks when each thing is finished! How neat is that? 5/26/17 - Hello! I've just published a new PoL blog post regarding summer plans. You can check it out at this link here. It lays out some very achievable goals for the summer, something I'm really excited about. I'm looking forward to the coming months! If you have the time, please check out the Scribbles page and the new layout there and then leave an opinion in the Quick Poll to the left side there. It was an experiment, so I'm curious to what you think about it. Thanks! Come here often? Like my Facebook page by clicking on the icon at the top of the page.
