So now for the list of what I want to do this summer. It's not going to be that impressive because I want to actually be able to do it. If I end up finishing it before the summer's out, I'll still make updates, and I'll be incredibly happy because I actually stuck to some sort of schedule. This list will also be fairly specific so that it's also more achievable.
- Three new "An Unwelcome Guest" installments
- A new essay (currently in the works)
- A new parody piece (also currently in the works)
- Four new D&D posts
- One short story
- Two poems (though I'll probably end up post more)
An important thing to note is that all of these will be new works. Last summer, I made a lot of promises, and though I did publish things fairly consistently, they weren't all new pieces. That means that I spent some weeks not writing, which is a mistake that I don't really want to repeat. It's important to keep writing, even if it turns out to be garbage.
Now, what have I been up to that's kept me so busy? Honestly, school. It's been a pretty tough past year. I wish I could have had posted some things here, but I just didn't have the time. I did continue to write, though. I entered a creative writing competition and tried to get some of my work published, but to no avail. Some of the things I did write, though, are too personal to share on this website. I tend to use writing as a way dealing with things, and sometimes that makes my writing too personal to share.
As for last week, I made an impromptu trip home for about a week. I'll write about it in a reaL Nlog post since it's a pretty good story. This week, I was occupied dealing with some personal things, but I'm feeling good and ready to make this summer productive. Now excuse me while I go play Shining Force, nostalgia and all, for what will probably be the rest of the day.
P.S. Since you've made it this far, let me tell you something pretty funny that I just realized. I missed my birthday! Well, the website's birthday. It was our fifth birthday back in February, and I missed it entirely, even after making a big deal about it back in one of my previous PoL blog posts. I just found it really funny that I completely spaced it! So here's a very late happy birthday to this website, and a wish for a successful future!
