I'm not going to do a break-down analysis of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs II like I did with Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs because that feels too much like a school essay, and I need to celebrate every last freedom of summer left. So instead it will be a jumbled mass of thoughts and stuff.
So, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs II has a very predictable plot line with a predictable ending and predictable everything
BUT
it was extremely fun to watch and is such a silly movie with so much greatness stuffed into it that I'd give it high marks in all respect. Go ahead, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, give yourself a high five and a pat on the back. You deserve it.
Living food seems to be the basis of this movie. The characters are great, though, and the jokes are rib-tickling.
I recommend you go watch it, if you have a Netflix because it's streamable. If not, then find some other way of getting it.
It's not as great at the first movie, mostly because the idea isn't as original and the plotline is highly predictable, but it's still an enjoyable movie for the humor and characters and action and adventure and things like that.
A high 8/10, overall. Definitely a pick-me-up movie for rainy days, but not as great as the first.
