Have you ever heard of Don't Starve? It's a survival video game produced by Klei Entertainment. It feels as if it could have been made by Tim Burton, though; it's macabre, Victorian, whimsical, and has a distinct dark sense of humor with surprises around every corner. My brother has been recommending it to me since its birth in 2013, so I finally bought it and its multiplayer companion Don't Starve Together over the weekend. It's fantastic. Now, this game is best played blind, so if you ever plan on playing it (or haven't made it past winter yet), I would recommend not reading this as it's written with some spoilers that could ruin the fun of discovering new and exciting ways to starve or meet some other terrible fate.

Getting into the swing of things is hard. A lot harder than I thought it would be.
Seriously. You can start to get it to work, and then it just takes one bad week and the whole thing is thrown off. You're stuck a week behind in your courses with tests right around the corner. One night, I was suddenly stricken with a wave of sentimentality. This wasn't your ordinary wave of sentimentality, no. It penetrated all of me and turned my thoughts into a longing, like I had suddenly aged sixty years and was thinking back on what I could have done.
It was a super wave of sentimentality. I've got some good news, some bad news, some worse news, and some terrible news. The good news is Finals Week is over. The bad news is Honor Band is over. The worse news is my window is leaking and a spider has taken up residence in my windowsill. And the terrible news is my work ethic has been changed.
