Time is Ticking
Time continually ticketh away
and halteth its ticking for nothing.
It ticks away the minutes and seconds
until we must bow to its ticking.
It ticketh whether we notice or not
and mocks us with its ticking.
On clocks, on air, on the tip of our tongue,
Time is forever ticking.
It ticketh away our joys and our sorrows;
Time ticketh without a thought.
It ticketh and taketh our time until
our time runs out of ticks.
Our lives are centered around Time's ticking
and we ticketh our time with care
until Time halteth our ticking away
and our ticks turn to dust.
Clocks shall ticketh away our time
and Time will laugh with its ticking;
yet we keep talking about Time and its ticking
and all of our time ticketh away.
Soon we are left with but a few ticks
and we wish our time we didn't waste,
for Time is tirelessly ticking
ticking, ticking away.
and halteth its ticking for nothing.
It ticks away the minutes and seconds
until we must bow to its ticking.
It ticketh whether we notice or not
and mocks us with its ticking.
On clocks, on air, on the tip of our tongue,
Time is forever ticking.
It ticketh away our joys and our sorrows;
Time ticketh without a thought.
It ticketh and taketh our time until
our time runs out of ticks.
Our lives are centered around Time's ticking
and we ticketh our time with care
until Time halteth our ticking away
and our ticks turn to dust.
Clocks shall ticketh away our time
and Time will laugh with its ticking;
yet we keep talking about Time and its ticking
and all of our time ticketh away.
Soon we are left with but a few ticks
and we wish our time we didn't waste,
for Time is tirelessly ticking
ticking, ticking away.
