The Wind
The wind is a ruthless adversary.
The wind is a peaceable force.
It will terrorize with its tenacity
And then surprise you with its serenity.
It has the power to move mountains,
to tip trees.
To veil your vision.
And yet, it has the gentleness
to fly a bird,
to guide a cloud,
to rock a cradle.
It is silent and unseen in the open,
but roars and reveals in the thicket.
It can bring hail to pelt you in the face
or let the rains gently fall on their way.
I would not trade the wind for anything
For other things may not be so nice.
The wind is a ruthless adversary.
The wind is a peaceable force.
The wind is a peaceable force.
It will terrorize with its tenacity
And then surprise you with its serenity.
It has the power to move mountains,
