15 Minutes
The sun fades in and out
from between the clouds.
It carries the warmth of Spring,
though the air still speaks of Winter.
Voices waft through the air
as people move about between classes.
Their voices come in bits and pieces,
their conversations in splinters.
It's nice to sit in the sun,
take a break, enjoy the rays,
think and write thoughts down
that aren't about my classes.
Hearing bits and pieces about
other people's lives for a second
as the sun smiles down
to make a glare on my glasses
is just the kind of break
from school that I need
in these 15 minutes
in between my other classes.
from between the clouds.
It carries the warmth of Spring,
though the air still speaks of Winter.

Their voices come in bits and pieces,
their conversations in splinters.
